ROTARY CIRCLE SOCIETY PROJECT

The Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville erected a classic Rotary clock within the grassed center of the roundabout circle at the Monroe Street entrance to downtown Huntsville.  The clock is a prominent sign to countless residents and visitors that Rotary is making significant contributions to our Huntsville community and the world at large.  The Society consists of four contribution/recognition levels – one involving the purchase of commemorative bricks and the other three involving contributions of $1,000+ and recognition on plaques around the circle.

2008 GALA Check Presentation

June 11, The Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville presented our 2008 GALA proceeds to our 3 beneficiaries:  CASA of Madison County ($17,000), REAP ($12,000) and Lee Lyric Theater ($4,000)

TEAM:  Together Everyone Achieves More

We have accomplished a tremendous amount during this Rotary Year and I hope you are all as proud as I am to see the positive differences we have made in our community.  Throughout this last month of the Rotary Year, we are proud to recognize all of you for the time and effort that you have contributed to our many projects under each Avenue of Service.

In this edition of Rotary Avenues, we applaud our volunteers who served on behalf of Community Service under the tremendous leadership of Director Joe Bergantz.  Joe also received some great help from Community Service Deputy Directors Ed Stone and Jake Jacobson.

Due to our teamwork, the Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville received this year’s Community Service Award, Large Club Size Category, in District 6860.  Thank you for Sharing Rotary!

Michele
