Huntsville Hospital Pediatric Audiology Clinic Jun 7, 2010 The Pediatric Audiology Clinic clinic was the recipient of $20,000 from our Gala this year as the major beneficiary. This clinic has been up and operational for 19 days now. During that time the clinic has done 98 procedures on 33 patients and has identified 13 that have degraded hearing and are now receiving the care they need due to early detection.
Rotary District Conference Cruise 2010 Apr 16, 2010 The 2010 Rotary District 6860 conference was held aboard the cruise ship Carnival Fantasy, departing Mobile on April 16, at sea the next day, docked in Cozumel the following day, at sea again the next day, and returning to Mobile on the morning of the fifth day. District meetings were held on the two mornings at sea. While in Cozumel, each member presented to Rotary-Cozumel two backpacks full of school supplies.
Flowers at Clock Tower Circle Nov 14, 2009 Several Rotarians did landscape clean-up and planted flowers at the Rotary Clock Tower roundabout. The group pictured planted the new flowers. Carol and Jim Tevepaugh had worked earlier to remove old plants.
CASA Winterization Project Nov 7, 2009 On Saturday, November 7th, volunteers from our club volunteered their time and talents to “winterize” two homes in conjunction with the CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound). The program is known as TEMP$ (Taking Energy Measures Personally saves Money), Participating in the exercise were: Clif Broderick, John Marshall, Larry Creech, Art Meier, Dick Fisher, Ed Stone, Ray Baker, Joe Bergantz, Jon Como, Art Hargrove, Walter Kelley and Jake Jacobson
Wheelchair Ramp Build October 2009 Oct 24, 2009 On Saturday, October 24, volunteers from the club built a wheelchair ramp in conjunction with the local CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound). Participating in the exercise were Clif Broderick, Pete Luther, John Marshall, Barbara Martin, Larry Creech, George Lewis, Jimmy Hill, Art Meier, Dick Fisher, Ed Stone, Marcia Elkins, Jake Jacobson and volunteer (non-Rotarian) Janet Phillips.

REAP briefing for Huntsville City School Nurses Jul 31, 2009 Jimmy Hill went with Andy Trice to the REAP briefing for the Huntsville City Schools nurses to say goodbye to the nurses and to introduce Andy. The nurses gave Jimmy a standing ovation. Rotary has an important partnership with the nurses. They love the program. Andy gave a briefing about the move to email for all requests. This should shorten the turn-around-time for vouchers for servers.
Wheelchair Ramp Build - May 2009 May 30, 2009 On Saturday, May 30th, volunteers from the club built a wheel chair ramp in conjunction with the local CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound). Habitat Build Nov 22, 2008 Eight Rotarians helped lay sod in the front, side and back of the Habitat Home at 6260 Melrose Drive, Huntsville. The family and friends were very appreciative of the Rotarians' help. Jake Jacobson took these photos.
